Foot mixer: reliability, freedom of movement and less waste

Idral's pedal taps are extremely robust and reliable. Made of cast brass, they can be equipped with an independent water control, an anti-limescale valve made of self-lubricating material and a progressive closing without water hammer. As the pedal mixer does not require the use of hands, it is an extremely practical solution that ensures great freedom of movement. For this reason they are ideal for environments such as hospitals, industrial kitchens, restaurants and bars, where users need to keep their hands free to wash and rinse food, equipment, dishes, etc. The water supply, thanks to a mechanical valve, is in fact activated with a simple pressure of the foot on the pedal installed under the cabinet, which also allows the volume and temperature of the water to be adjusted. Among other things, this ensures the hygiene of the user who, not having to touch the tap with his hands, will avoid the spread of germs.

Foot-operated taps can be the best solution in small spaces. They have an in-line mechanical valve under the sink, connected to a cable that ends in an exposed pedal. This makes them very easy to install without major plumbing work or where masonry work is not possible. Spare parts are also standardised to ensure quick replacement.

The foot tap is a very suitable choice for reducing water consumption. In particular, the performance of foot-operated faucets is enhanced in large installations because they guarantee intelligent and 'green' consumption. In fact, the flow of water only starts when the foot presses the pedal, while it is interrupted as soon as the foot is lifted, minimising waste compared to a traditional tap. This device, with its simple and intuitive operation, eliminates any over-consumption by also stopping the drip.
