Objectives that the company annually sets itself:
- compliance with contractual conditions and current legislation, with particular attention to environmental and safety aspects;
- commitment to managing activities aimed at protecting the environment;
- continuous improvement, which is a fundamental and permanent objective, with decisions based on facts and monitoring of the processes themselves and of the significant environmental aspects/impacts;
- the commitment to develop and produce community taps and sanitary ware that reduce water and energy consumption;
- raising awareness and involvement of its suppliers by favouring technologies, products and processes characterised by the lowest environmental impact.
To achieve these objectives, the Management undertakes to
- comply with the laws and regulations in force, the rules and any contractual commitments
- pursue the continuous improvement of environmental performance
- prevent and reduce environmental impact in all its forms through actions aimed at reducing waste, resource consumption and the pollution load of emissions;
- provide services through processes implemented in such a way as to minimise their environmental impact during implementation, use and final disposal, with particular attention to the choice of products, without compromising safety, quality and competitiveness;
- orienting processes towards limiting the consumption of energy and non-renewable natural resources in the broadest sense, limiting polluting emissions and waste resulting from processing;
- educate, train and motivate all functions at all levels to the disciplines of the Environment, committing to the continuous growth of the professional skills of all employees: make them individually responsible for the environmental policy in their work and towards the achievement of the company's environmental impact objectives
- sensitise suppliers of materials, products, services so that they adopt environmental procedures aligned with those established by us, and stimulate them to improve
- consider the use of the best available technology, provided it is appropriate and economically sustainable.

Corporate eco-sustainability
- The roof of the production plant has been designed and built to ensure maximum brightness, to minimise the use of electric light during the day.
- All interior (office and production) and exterior lights are energy-efficient LEDs.
- The production machines automatically stop at the end of the production cycle.
- Separate waste collection is implemented throughout the company.
- IDRAL production complies with ROHS requirements.
- 95% of the materials/components used are sourced from European suppliers.
- 80% of the materials/components used come from suppliers in Italy.
- 60% of materials/components used come from suppliers within a 50 km radius.
- 100% of employees reside within a radius of 30 km (80% within a radius of 10 km).
- A filter system was set up for the distribution of drinking water fed directly from the aqueduct, so as to reduce the use of plastic bottles.
- Drinking water flasks were distributed to all employees.
- Hot drink dispensers were equipped with cups and scoops made of compostable material.
- The toilets were equipped with electronic taps and flush toilets with reduced water flow.
- Constant awareness-raising of employees for eco-conscious management of electricity, heating and water use.
- Use of MEWA industrial mops (re-washable) instead of rag.
- WATER LABEL membership (2014).
- Installation of the photovoltaic system in 2022, going into operation in 2023.
- November 2022: Verification of energy consumption of individual departments and major machines.
- Monitoring of compressed air consumption x 2 weeks and optimisation of compressors from 02/2023.
Product sustainability
- Optimisation of packaging from an environmental perspective (use of biodegradable or recyclable material instead of plastic, foam, etc.).
- 95% of OTTONE raw material comes from recycling.
- 80% of production supplies products with reduced water flow.
- Packaging is FSC-certified (https://us.fsc.org/en-us/certification).
Planned for the future
- Climate optimisation of office building with a view to eco-sustainability .
- Progressive reduction in the use of paper archives, preferring digital archives .
- Setting up electric car charging stations .
- Replacement of product instruction sheets with QR-Code printed directly on the packaging.
