The new timed thermostatic faucet, through one of our major customers, won the H&V Product Innovation of the year award in the UK for its merits and ability to combine two essential and successful technologies in one product. The award winner was the ability to combine thermostatic scald protection and water saving in one product, as well as the fact that by effectively limiting the distance between the thermostatic mixing valve and the faucet, it is easier to prevent the potential proliferation of legionella.
The reason for the success of the new timedthermostatic mixer
H&V's award-winning 908 series timed thermostatic mixer is the first faucet of its kind to combine timed flow control with thermostatic control, enabling accurate mixing of water temperature, with which the performance and benefits are unquestionable compared to current technologies that separate thermostatic control from timed control:
- New application and design opportunities
The small size of the valve capable of controlling closure and temperature opens up a world of application and design possibilities. The unique control also opens up opportunities for new aesthetic solutions hitherto exclusive to classic 'single-lever' controls with ceramic disc cartridges, and application in any space, large or small, and for any application.
- Ease of use
Mixing is controlled with a simple rotary movement of the handle itself: this allows for one-handed adjustment.
- Durability
Constructed from state-of-the-art materials such as reinforced nylon and polysulphones, it ensures mechanical, thermal and anti-scald properties.
- Scald prevention
The valve prevents scalding because it is equipped with a push-button rotation lock that limits the outlet water temperature to 38°C. The valve, being designed to meet TMV3 characteristics, is very sensitive and immediately interrupts the hot water supply in the absence of cold water.
- Watersaving
