Dell'Angelo Hospital, Mestre

TheOspedale dell'Angelo in Mestre is considered the most technologically advanced healthcare facility in Italy and at the forefront of Europe, as well as the most complete Italian example of project financing in a public work. The name of the hospital was proposed by the then Director of ULSS 12 Antonio Padoan, taking inspiration from a statue donated by the Venetian architect Bruno Scarpa . As he himself explained, it does not have a religious meaning, but refers to the symbolic value of angels, seen as the protectors par excellence by several confessions.

The entire health complex is divided into several bodies surrounded by a vast green area of 117,600 m² (out of a total of 260,000 m²). There are two ponds in the park, which also serve as a water reservoir in case of need.
