Muscat International Airport is Oman's main airport, located about 15 km from the capital Mascate.
Opened in 1973, it has undergone considerable modernisation and expansion since 2009.
In this beautiful and modern facility, Idral has installed high-tech taps, ideal for meeting the convenience and safety requirements of an airport that plans to expand its capacity to 48 million passengers in the near future.
IDRAL's timed shut-off taps are indispensable in public places and sports complexes, where the aim is to provide the user with maximum hygiene and ease of use, while at the same time saving on water consumption.
The timed products are operated at the push of a simple button. Once the product has been used, it stops dispensing water by itself. The user does not have to touch anything. In this way, hygiene is maintained while limiting water and energy consumption.
The IDRAL Electronic Faucet Line places technology at the service of hygiene.
Thanks to a photocell mounted inside all products, water is dispensed without touching any part of the product. In fact, the photocell's infrared beams detect the user's presence at a distance self-regulated at the time of installation. The photocell, as soon as it is sensitised, activates a solenoid valve which, in turn, determines the water supply.
This can be, depending on the model chosen, cold or hot, mixed or pre-mixed at the desired temperature.
The water continues to be dispensed as long as the user is within the 'reading' range of the photocell. As soon as he moves away, the solenoid valve ends the operation, avoiding waste.
In addition, the products in the electronic faucet line are all equipped with the anti-vandalism and anti-lock dispensing system.
