Milan Expo 2015

Expo 2015 was theUniversal Exhibition hosted in Milan and, with more than 20 million visitors over the six months it was open, it was a huge success for our country.
The area occupied by EXPO covered an area of over one square kilometre and housed 96 pavilions from different countries around the world.

The exhibition, entitled 'Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life', addressed one of the most pressing global problems, food, and in particular focused on the issues of nutrition and the availability of resources on our planet.
Idral was the ideal partner for this event, as we offer sanitary solutions for public and commercial spaces designed to reduce water and energy waste. Among the products installed in the sanitary facilities is the ONE series battery-operated electronic urinal tap.

In commercial and public spaces, water consumption can be up to 50% higher than in domestic use. Therefore, controlling water waste has become a priority to reduce costs and impact on the environment.
Idral focuses its innovation on low water and energy consumption solutions, and also offers the advantage of being developed by a single supplier. In fact, Idral is able to offer integrated systems of taps, ceramics and accessories designed for the specific needs of each public and commercial environment.

In particular, the ONE series electronic urinal tap (02520/1) has everything you would expect from an advanced electronic solution. It is activated by an infrared sensor through presence detection and offers:

  • Water and energy savings: the electronic sensor only activates the flush when necessary, the solenoid valve on the tap is low consumption, and the battery has a high capacity. The battery life is about 220,000 cycles, which translates into about 4 years of autonomy depending on the frequency of use.
  • Maximum hygiene, thanks to the sensor that does not require contact for operation and the automatic flush that turns on every 24 hours after the last use, preventing the spread of bacteria such as legionella.
  • High reliability: the chrome-plated brass faucet is vandal-proof and has a ball feed valve that makes product maintenance easier. Inside the body of the watertight faucet is the integrated long-life 6V lithium battery with energy indicator, which keeps the faucet closed in the event of a low battery. In addition, Idral certifies that the product complies with EN 12541.
  • Versatility: the ball feed valve allows the flow to be adjusted to the customer's specific needs and the sensor range is manually adjustable, making this tap suitable for almost all types of urinals.
  • Italian design: the product is elegant and versatile, and its compact dimensions make it ideal for any public or commercial environment. The smooth shape of the faucet reduces dirt build-up and facilitates cleaning.
