Idral is part of Roca Group, a global leader in the design, production and marketing of bathroom solutions. This belonging now translates into a major milestone: Roca Group has been awarded the EcoVadis Platinum Medal, the highest recognition granted by the world's leading corporate sustainability rating platform, for the second consecutive year. With a score of 90 out of 100 — its best result ever — the Group ranks in the top 1% of the more than 150,000 companies assessed worldwide. An achievement that reflects a commitment shared across the whole Group, Idral included, and that reinforces the way we think about faucets.
What EcoVadis is and why the Platinum Medal matters
EcoVadis is the most internationally recognised standard for assessing corporate sustainability. The platform evaluates companies across 21 criteria grouped into four key areas, based on international standards such as the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact, the conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards.
The Platinum Medal is the highest recognition and is awarded exclusively to the top 1% of companies assessed in the past year. Maintaining this award for the second consecutive year and raising the score to 90/100 is unequivocal proof of the Group's constant and concrete commitment to sustainability.
The four pillars assessed
Roca Group's score improved across all four areas assessed by EcoVadis:
- Environment — resource management, emissions reduction, efficient use of water and energy.
- Labor & Human Rights — working conditions, health and safety, protection of people.
- Ethics — integrity, transparency and responsibility in business practices.
- Sustainable Procurement — environmental and social criteria across the entire supply chain.
What it means for Idral to be part of Roca Group
Being part of a group that places sustainability at the heart of its strategy means sharing its values, standards and goals. Roca Group operates in over 170 countries and has already demonstrated that it can produce a complete bathroom with zero emissions, using 100% renewable energy. For Idral, this translates into a clear direction: designing and producing faucets with the impact on people and the planet in mind.
Sustainability in the world of faucets
The Group's commitment finds concrete expression in the solutions Idral designs every day. Sustainable faucets are not a slogan, but a set of measurable technical choices:
- Water saving — electronic and time-flow faucets that drastically cut consumption, by up to 70% compared with traditional solutions.
- Recyclable materials — among our products we also offer AISI 316L stainless steel, 100% recyclable, corrosion-resistant and built to last.
- Flow limiters — showerheads and aerators that deliver perceived comfort with reduced consumption.
- Durability — products designed for high-traffic environments, with less need for replacement and therefore lower impact.
A journey of continuous improvement
As the Group points out, sustainability is a journey of continuous improvement, not a destination. Recognitions such as the EcoVadis Platinum Medal confirm that the direction is the right one and inspire us to do more, generating a positive impact on three fronts: People, Planet and Prosperity.
